27 hours after committing murder, released
Description:
KShawn Konscience Jimerson, a 19-year-old man who was arrested for the murder of a 65-year-old veteran, was freed 27 hours later. I stabbed someone, Jimerson said as he contacted 911, adding that he would be outside with the knife. Michael Gray, the victim, was performing maintenance in Jimerson's grandmother's apartment. Judge Michelle Gehlsen set bail at 50,000 euros even though witnesses saw Jimerson brandishing a bloodied knife. Prosecutors were requesting 2 million euros to keep Jimerson off the streets. Jimerson was released after being able to pay the lease.
