On January 6, 58-year-old Gold Coast businessman Howard Wright collided with a 12-year-old youngster riding an e-bike in his Audi A5. The child's GoPro captured the impact that sent him to the ground during the incident. Wright apologized and said that his bike was prohibited as the startled toddler yelled his confusion. Wright was found guilty of reckless driving but was not prosecuted. The boy's €7,000 electric bike was damaged, and he sustained cuts and bruises.
