A businesswoman was shot dead in front of her São Paulo salon

In front of one of his businesses, Gianeriney Nascimento, 42, the owner of a chain of nail salons in São Paulo, was murdered by her ex-husband, Denilson Bento. A fight broke out, Nascimento shoved him, and Bento produced a pistol and fired three rounds, as seen on a security video. Bento was disarmed by onlookers before the police arrived and took him into custody. On the route to the hospital, Nascimento, a mother of five, passed away from cardiac arrest. Given his prior past of thievery, Bento acknowledged committing the offense.
