Description:
Billy Maher, a 62-year-old shopkeeper, heroically stopped a robbery at his Cambridgeshire business in Nisa Local. When Mahers's colleague tackled the masked man to the ground, he was trying to steal a case of Fosters beer. Rushing in, Maher struck the robber in the face. The criminals fled empty-handed, despite their successful escape by using a hammer to destroy the blinds window. This instance, which is one of several burglaries that took place in the Peterborough region during the Easter weekend, is being looked into by the police.
