A US Marine named Jason Frink attacked two female hotel employees in a violent altercation that was captured on camera at a hotel in San Diego. When the two ladies refused to give Frink a room, he grew irate and started cursing at them, which started the confrontation. Frink refused to leave when hotel staff member Ronnie Toms requested him to, instead continuing to go around the lobby. Frink then went on to physically abuse Toms' coworker out of fury, and when Toms confronted him, he started fighting her back. In order to protect herself and her coworker, Toms struck Frink with a metal lamp at the end of the conflict. The altercation hurt both Frink and Toms. The Camp Pendleton Marine unit has stated that they are looking into the Frink incident.
