A guy sitting in the front row of Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral in Spokane, Washington State, abruptly got up and rushed toward the altar during a prayer service. Father David Gaines was hit in the face while praying with Bishop Thomas Daly, but he managed to subdue his attacker. While the ceremony's priest summoned security, worshippers assisted in immobilizing him. The individual was taken into custody on charges of trespassing and violence. There was a prayer for him before the ceremony resumed.
