A heroic act took place at Schelkovo, near Moscow, where a 72-year-old resident, Mikhail Makarov, spontaneously overpowered a 35-year-old thief after seeing him steal the smartphone of Timofey, an 11-year-old boy. A former security guard named Makarov went towards the thief after hearing the child cry and knocked him to the ground. Makarov gripped the thief tightly as he attempted to flee. The stolen phone was discovered shortly after by a lady who was most likely Timofey's mother. After applauding Makarov for his brave action, the police took the robber into custody.
