A TV tower is targeted and destroyed by Russia
Description:
The second-largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv, was the target of a Russian airstrike when a 240-meter broadcast tower fell in a smoke cloud. Previously targeted in March 2022, the loss of this equipment resulted in citywide communications outages. Oleg Synegubov, the governor of Kharkiv, stated that there were disruptions to the digital TV transmission but no injuries. The European Center for Media and journalistic Freedom denounced the act as an assault on journalistic freedom.
