An dispute started while Jeff Whitmire and his buddies were at a bar on Ponce. After everyone had left the pub, the hostile customer started shouting profanities and then approached his silver SUV. The man can be seen on the video backing up and pounding Whitmire's car twice. Whitmire sprinted in his direction while screaming for him to halt. He was wearing a furious expression. "I attempted to flee to the porch after turning around. Whitmire remarked, "He hit the gas, hit me, and dragged me." They pulled Whitmire thirty feet. When friends and onlookers realized what had happened, they hurried to assist. One man was able to apply the parking brake on the car after punching the insane driver a few times. Whitmire managed to escape from beneath the vehicle and reach safety at that point. After striking two more vehicles in the parking lot, the SUV driver ran away. Jeff Whitmire miraculously only sustained minor wounds.
