When police were called to a chaotic scene at a seafood restaurant named The Landing in Newport, a fierce fight broke out. David Onik got into an altercation with the personnel after he was denied admittance to the pub. A free-for-all broke out when David's buddies encircled the cops as they tried to interview him. A lady attempted to seize an officer's pistol during the scuffle, and Rachel Onik collapsed. Robert Nash and Alexandra Flaherty angrily stepped in to stop the cops. After the event, six persons were taken into custody. Some of them entered not guilty pleas when they appeared in court. Xaykham Khamsyvoravong, the mayor of Newport, stated that the city was looking into the cops' use of force.
