After being stabbed in the neck, a police officer in Arby's shoots a suspect to death

One person was killed and one officer was injured in a shooting at a fast food restaurant in Shelby that was captured on police body camera footage. Last Saturday, the intervention happened at Arby's, which is located at 230 Mansfield Avenue, around 11:18 p.m. Tyler Jacobs is shown being arrested by Sergeant Noah Kocher and Officer Dominic Ewing. Police claim that Jacobs stabbed Kocher in the neck with a knife when Kocher made contact with him. Kocher was hurt, but he was able to get away from Jacobs before shooting him. Officer Ewing was at the back of the restaurant and helped Kocher and Jacobs right away. They both went to a nearby hospital. Jacobs passed away from his injuries and was declared dead, while Kocher is said to be in stable condition.
