Business attacks in Bangladesh following a protest
Description:
Attacks against KFC and Bata restaurants in Khulna, Bangladesh, have resulted in the arrest of at least 31 persons. Police said it all began at a demonstration against the Israeli military campaign in Gaza. According to reports, some of the procession broke away to attack businesses; the KFC's windows were broken, furniture was looted, and a TV, refrigerator, and oven were taken. A number of shoes were taken from the Bata store, which was also plundered. Similar instances were recorded in other towns. Police guarantee quick arrests.
