Description:

The Korowai are a native tribe in West New Guinea, southeast of the Indonesian state of Papua. Additionally, there are no cotton buds because we are in the middle of nowhere in the bush. The Korowai thus came up with the ingenious concept of inserting palm tree larvae into their ear canals in order to remove earwax. Will Millard, a BBC Two broadcaster, lived among this tribe for a year. He also had the chance to examine these earwax-eating larvae as part of the show he produces.
