A man's life was saved by firefighters in Portage, Michigan, who rescued him from an overturned Jeep on railroad lines minutes before a train struck the car. The event happened on Friday night after the Jeep overturned due to a two-car collision. The second motorist in the collision was unharmed, but the Jeep's driver was treated for excruciating back pain at a nearby hospital. The Portage Public Safety department chief commended the prompt response of the responding police officers and firemen.
