Police chase 12-year-old driving in wrong direction on highway until crash

Description:

An accident occurred in Doña Ana County as a result of a police pursuit involving a 12-year-old child. Following many reports of careless driving, county police started looking for a blue-gray SUV. A 30-minute search eventually led to the suspect's location and pursuit. The 12-year-old child who was driving, however, refused to stop and made an effort to escape. He went down the highway in the incorrect direction to do this. When the suspect's vehicle collided with an approaching vehicle, the pursuit came to a halt. Three other boys, who were probably pals seeking excitement, were with the young man. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.
