Roger Waters of Pink Floyd is no stranger to controversy. When he showed up at a performance in Berlin wearing a black trench coat, red armbands, and SS officer insignia, he caused a stir among the crowd. A Star of David-emblazoned inflatable pig hovered over the crowd. They displayed the names of Anne Frank and Abu Akleh, a journalist for Al Jazeera who was slain in an Israeli army raid. His concerts in Germany are currently being called for to be banned by orthodox German rabbis. For his part, Waters says he is only critiquing Israeli policy and rejects any anti-Semitism.
