Russia launches its first intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) (Video)

According to the Ukrainian army, Russia fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) over Ukraine on Thursday between five and seven in the morning. An unprecedented deployment of this conventionally-loaded weapon, which was originally intended for nuclear deterrent, was made when the missile, fired from the Astrakhan area, traveled around 800 kilometers to reach its target. Even if there was little harm done, the act conveys a strong symbolic statement. Moscow, for its part, has declined to comment on the charges, and specialists are raising doubts about the precise model that was employed due to the potential retirement of a Rs-26 Rubezh missile.
