Seoul's deadly road collapses

At an intersection close to Daemyeong Elementary School in Seoul's Myeongil-dong area, a massive hole that was 20 meters wide and 20 meters deep appeared out of nowhere. It was around 6:29 p.m. on March 24. A motorbike that was just passing by was also devoured, as was the 34-year-old driver, Mr. Park. About fifty meters from the crater, his body was discovered eighteen hours later. A white pickup truck had gone by the area just before. Mr. Heo, its driver, sustained minor wounds.
