Shootings and fights on a beach in South Carolina

Six people were hospitalized after a gunshot occurred on a South Carolina beach Friday afternoon, according to authorities. The event happened during a gathering under the pier for the customary senior skip day, when high school seniors skip classes, on the Isle of Palms, close to Charleston. The gang, which was mostly made up of youngsters and a few adults, started fighting. The patients were sent to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) with non-life-threatening injuries.
