They risk 16 years in jail for cheating in the prom queen contest!
Description:
Even though I wouldn't want to be in these young women's position, this news makes me happy. Police in the United States detained a mother and daughter for fraudulently accessing hundreds of kids' accounts to cast a large number of votes for the high school prom queen election. Emily Grover, Laura Carroll's 17-year-old daughter, was elected by vote-rigging. The mother and daughter accessed around 400 high school student accounts, according to the results of a five-month inquiry. The woman was jailed following her termination and then released on bond after posting $8,500. In the meantime, her daughter was placed in a juvenile correctional facility. They may spend up to 16 years behind bars.
