A 33-year-old TikTok star named Lina Mukherjee was given a two-year jail term in Indonesia for sharing a video of herself doing an Islamic prayer before consuming pork. She was convicted of spreading false material intended to incite hate toward particular people and religious communities. She was sentenced to jail and fined 250 million rupiah, or around $13,000. Strict blasphemy laws apply in Indonesia, a country with a large Muslim population. Lina said she was shocked by the verdict following the trial.
