Description:
A nonviolent protest against climate change became violent on the B36 near Mannheim's Victoria Tower. Angry at the obstruction imposed by Last Generation activists in orange uniforms, a 29-year-old driver in gray jogging pants and a white tank top attacked many protesters with violence. The group's manager, Aimée van Baalen, reaffirmed the organization's resolve to carry on with the demonstrations in spite of the altercation. Since then, the attacker has been charged with assault and taken into custody by Mannheim police in Ludwigsburg for interrogation.
