A Thai elephant calf that fell into a well was saved
Description:
Villagers rallied to save a newborn elephant that had fallen into a well early on Friday, February 16. The event took place in Thailand's Chanthaburi Province on a rubber plantation. The mother elephant grew upset and was zapped by an electric fence when rescuers were trying to remove the young elephant from the well. She lost consciousness for a moment, then recovered it. After being saved, the infant soon returned to its mother.
