Last April, three police officers in Worcestershire heroically rescued a woman who was stuck in her car after it swept away during a flood and was full with water. When police created a human chain to reach her car and broke the driver's window to free Annie Nisbet, who was scared and waiting for rescue with water up to her neck, she was dragged out. She received the Police Federation National Bravery Award for her courageous deed, which exemplified the dedication, tenacity, and bravery of law enforcement in the face of perilous situations.
