A police officer in New Jersey stepped in at an apartment on the eighth level of a building on September 17. He walked straight to one of the rooms as soon as he entered the flat. There he found a guy hanging from his window, ready to leap into the emptiness. The poor man had recently lost his wife, as far as we know, to natural causes. He was so upset that he wanted to go with her. However, this did not occur because of the police officer's involvement. Actually, the policeman was able to talk him out of it.
