After using cocaine that he had bought at a casino in Connecticut, 22-year-old Ethan Bherwani passed away. He was unaware that the medicine contained the lethal narcotic fentanyl. He passed out at the blackjack table shortly after. It took more than eleven minutes for medical help to arrive, and witnesses did not respond right away. After nine days in a coma, Ethan passed away. The dealer in question, Jerrard Santiago, was sentenced to eight years in jail after his father, Kamal, fought to bring him to justice.
