Colombian mayor's residence was bombed
Description:
In El Carmen de Atrato, Colombia, a hooded man tossed a bomb at Mayor Jaime Herrera's residence. The perpetrator is shown on CCTV tossing the explosive device before running away. Since Herrera was in his office and the mayor's family was not present, the explosion caused damage but no injuries. The mayor disclosed that the National Liberation Army (ELN), a declared terrorist organization, had attempted to extort him. In order to safeguard his family and the area, he requested more protection.
