Description:

A truck driver who had been clinging to the cab of his overturned petroleum tanker for nearly six hours in a river teeming with crocodiles was saved by brothers Taru Carr-Hartley, a brave 22-year-old helicopter pilot, and Roan, a 20-year-old wildlife conservation crewman. After intense rains, a flash flood 30 kilometers up the Galana River in Kenya's Tsavo East National Park carried the trucker away. The two brothers commandeered a chopper and conducted a Mission Impossible-style rescue operation. By directing the truck driver to the helicopter, they were able to save his life. The Carr-Hartley brothers are renowned for their bravery and dedication to preserving African wildlife. They are both seasoned wildlife conservationists who work for the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
