According to reports, the lady was attempting to steal from Peckham Hair and Cosmetics, his store. Protesters gathered outside the shuttered establishment after the brawl to condemn what they seen as a commonplace instance of male aggression against women. According to the Metropolitan Police, a lady was detained on suspicion of assault and released on bail until more investigation was conducted.
