When Hamas militants assaulted a grocery shop in Israel on October 7, the staff hid in a freezer to protect themselves. A CCTV footage shows that these incidents happened early in the morning next to a Yelo petrol station. Employees fled to the back of the store as soon as they saw the armed attackers, sought cover in a storage area, and then vanished from view of the cameras. The attackers took a smartphone, beverages, and snacks after scouring the establishment without locating any personnel. Before Israeli commandos rescued them, the workers were trapped in the freezer for many hours during the roughly two and a half-minute onslaught.
