Description:
Although India's Holi festival is meant to be a time for joy, certain minorities and women experience violence and harassment on this day. Videos depict males abusing the celebrations to invasively shower women with color and touch them without their consent. Acts of violence against minorities are also depicted in certain episodes, frequently with no outside assistance. These occurrences serve as a reminder that, despite the joyous ambiance, Holi is not always as carefree of a celebration for many people.
