During the Bando de la Huerta event in Murcia, Víctor Sáez, a councilor for LGBTQ rights in Lorquí (Spain), had supper at a kebab shop. He requested to use the restrooms at around 11 p.m., but the proprietor turned him down. A worker with a red apron made fun of him with snide gestures. Victor reports that he was subjected to violent attack shortly after, during which he received homophobic threats, including "I'm going to slit your throat, you faggot, and I'm going to kill you." He complained to the police at El Carmen.
