Description:

The police in Fontana, California, put Thomas Perez Jr. under a lot of psychological pressure to confess to a murder he did not commit. False allegations that his father had passed away and threats against his dog were part of the 17-hour questioning. Perez was repeatedly manipulated by the police, who claimed that he had killed his father during a delusional episode. Perez eventually admitted to the made-up crime after becoming upset about these accusations. In response to these unfounded charges, he made an attempt on his life. After an altercation, his father just left the house and was later discovered alive. Perez was compensated almost $900,000 for this police blunder.
