Description:
Texas turning point: Thaddeus Cleveland, the sheriff of Terrell County, catches migrants by pretending to be their smuggler. He finds them using his GPS after apprehending the actual driver. Cleveland pretends to be their contact and draws them to a truck while they are hiding in the desert. A Border Patrol officer steps in as they board. Human trafficking has increased by about 400% in this Texas area in the last two years, and this technique is frequently employed to stop the growth.
